New factory hall expands production

In addition to production areas, the plant hall also offers a lounge and office area. Plant 2 in Emmen will be the new home for the next five to seven years for the machining and "Semiconductor" assembly areas, among others. The interim use of the plant will enable GEMÜ Switzerland to generate smooth growth in all markets. The Medical business unit in particular will benefit from the clean room space at the current site which will become available at short notice for future projects in the Medical Devices, Diagnostics and Pharmaceutical Packaging segments.

Not only will the relocating departments have more space, but freed-up areas can also be used for a production expansion at the existing Plant 1 location - for example, investments will be made in integrated, future-oriented logistics so that GEMÜ's products will continue to be shipped on time and in the usual quality to the rest of the world.

Until the relocation work starts in the fall of 2023, various extension work will be carried out on the hall. As early as next year, around 90 people will be working at the new location.
